A new equal opportunities officer for the HEG-FR

07 Jul 2025

Since June 1, Greta Balliu, Associate Professor at the School of Management Fribourg, has taken on the role of equal opportunities officer at the school.

Greta Balliu has been appointed as the new Equality and Diversity Officer for the HEG-FR, having taken up the role at the beginning of June. As an associate professor, Greta mainly works on projects related to corporate social responsibility, covering economic, environmental, and social themes. "In the social sphere, diversity and inclusion are also close to my heart, which is why I accepted the role of officer," she says.

Why get in contact with Greta?

Greta is the point of contact for anyone – student, staff member or lecturer – who encounters harassment, discrimination, bullying, or a breach of employment rights. Greta is always ready to listen and explains that "it is important to establish a more inclusive structure and provide a space where people can be heard and action can be taken to create and maintain working conditions in which everyone feels included and valued".

She adds that any suggestions to address the specific needs of the LGTBIQ+ community, people with disabilities, or breastfeeding at work are very welcome.

It is important to establish a more inclusive structure and provide a space for listening and action for those who need it in order to create and maintain working conditions in which everyone feels included and valued.
